Another year, another MJBizCon in the books.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, MJBizCon is an annual cannabis industry trade show hosted each year at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
With over 35,000 attendees from over 70 countries and every sector of the industry, this year was bigger than ever. Before we settle back into the grind and reconnect with all of the fantastic people we met in Vegas, we want to recap some of the highlights from this year so we can do 2020 even better.
Besides, it’s a great excuse to keep looking at the photo album.
Las Vegas was quite the team-building milestone for the office. Our remote-working lead developer joined us all the way from Alaska, we got to spend quality time with our partners next door at Potency, and we became quasi-regulars at the local Tiki Bar. We explored the city, walked the strip, ate great food, and some of us even gambled for the first time (when in Vegas, right?). Everyone had fun, no one lost any money. Winning.
This year’s trade show at the Las Vegas Convention center was a spectacle to behold. The 3.2 million square foot facility was packed with more than 1,300 exhibitors from every sector of the industry; featuring grow tech, extraction tech, innovative product manufacturers, packaging solutions, tech solutions, accessories, and much, much more.
2019’s convention kicked off with MJBiz week, which featured a week’s worth of cannabis-focused talks with over 130 speakers (on topics ranging from marketing to legal and social issues, science and news), affiliate events, networking events and mixers meant to connect professionals and interested people from all over the industry. There was something for everyone.
This year, we ditched the booth and co-sponsored the Farechild afterparty–AKA the biggest afterparty for the biggest cannabis trade show in the world; with 2,500 very happy attendees, a hot air balloon, adult seesaws, and an outdoor smoking tent. We saw lots of familiar faces and made even more new friends.
Big shoutout to all of our amazing co-sponsors for helping make this event happen.
